Trump-Linked WLFI to Launch Debit Card and Retail App ‘Very Soon’
World Liberty Financial (WLF), backed by former President Donald Trump, is advancing its cryptocurrency offerings with the imminent launch of a debit card and retail application. Co-founder Zak Folkman revealed the plans during Korea Blockchain Week 2025, emphasizing the integration of the USD1 stablecoin with Apple Pay for seamless everyday transactions.
The retail app will merge peer-to-peer payments with trading capabilities, though WLF has no intention of developing its own blockchain. Folkman stressed the project's chain-agnostic approach, focusing instead on interoperability across platforms.
WLF has already introduced its native token (WLFI) and stablecoin (USD1), signaling a long-term vision despite market volatility. The MOVE positions the firm to bridge digital assets with mainstream finance, leveraging strategic partnerships for ecosystem growth.
